Unfortunately the evening dining options are limited in Matagorda so if you're visiting on leisure I'd plan to go ahead and cook every night. I've been eating oysters over 35 years and have never seen oysters on a half shell without the shell.

In my opinion we shouldn't have paid for anything and I'll likely dispute the charge with my credit card company. Waitresses are nice and do a great job but terribly overworked on the weekends and holidays. We asked about it and the waitress told us that the order didn't get inputted into the system and she'd go ahead and put it in for us but there were five orders ahead of us. There will be limited seating due to occupancy regulations. My wife and always eat at Snappers when we go to Matagorda Beach. We're so excited to host Dave Owen at Snappers this Friday!
