I was kind of hesitant since it was attached to a gas station but the food is top notch and so is the service. My husband suggested it when we checked in for our room that is ran by the convenience store.

All tables are spaced out. were awesome in the clam chowder is pretty damn good too!!

Would recommend!I've been coming to Island Park for 30 years and have seen many restaurants come and go. We ordered the bison and pork tenderloin dishes and it was DELICIOUS! Appetizers included the potato skins and cheese sticks.

There's a reason this isn't a spot the locals frequent on a regular basis. The pizza was AMAZING as were the potato skins (I mean, it's Idaho, right?). Our waitress was so friendly and personable.

However their cheese breadsticks were killer!I really liked the look of the whole complex it was really big and rustic looking the restaurant and bar wasn't open yet but I bought gas and purchased a few snacks.

Their staff is constantly running around and getting to all tables in a timely manner. Ordered takeout for pizza, salad and potato skins and it was pretty good for being in a rural, small town. I would have expected a little more upbeat and friendly greetings especially since we came and a slow time but, it was all good! Did I mention the smoked prime rib? We stayed in one of the gorgeous cabins there and ate every night at ponds lodge.

The Ponds Lodge property not only boasts exceptional lodging and fare. Just order the pizza. We always come here every time we are in island park! For me, I will not be back.Call first to see if chef John is cooking. The first night I had their pizza and potato skins and my friend had the bison meatloaf.

Only reason for4 stars, is because it was a little pricey for a hamburger!

Server was humble and asked me to try something new. Best restaurant I've been at since covid startedMy boyfriend and I went on a road trip and found this gem on our way to Yellowstone National Park. Full bar and Boise State Broncos game. Plenty of other options a few miles in either direction. It was good tho!Ponds has THE BEST PIZZA, the best service and the place is spotless. He was the closest to us and we were standing by the bar hoping to see a menu.

He didn't even look our way as he chatted with two patrons who had already been served.
