Very steep. The bluffs are actually quite impressive visually and there is a nice walking trail below the bluffs that lead through the park as well as some of the naturalized areas in between the cliffs and the park.

It’s more of a path through a park and along the beach. The stunning Scarborough Bluffs trace the banks of lake Ontario for 14 kilometers, rising over 60 metres above the water. Scarborough Bluffs Trail Map. I was just expecting to go up the bluffs and turns out that’s is a hard NO. The main trail is closed for construction M-F so that was a bummer, but we found another way around!Not much of a trail; just a sidewalk, then beach, then sidewalk about 20m from the beach. It's accessible year-round to calm your urban-dwelling soul. But there are some paths that someone has paved through the tall bamboo that leads all the way up the bluffs! I went off the beaten path a little which brought you to these incredible views, alternatively the trailed route seemed a bit dull. Check out their photos and Facebook site here.

The access to get to trail through the public transportation is not easy as well. We didn’t find the top of the bluffs but it was a fun experience overall! It is pretty difficult climb which gets narrow at times but it a lot of fun and has a great view at the top. So the official “hike” is just “a walk in the park”.
